Very casual (no shoes, no shirt no problem type) beach bars/restaurants. Bring your swimwear.

  • The Sandbar - Picturesque Bar on the beach, within walking distance (10') of the Villa. Drinks and bar food available. They will also cook your catch for you if you bring it.

  • Cleveland Beach Club - Next to the Sand Bar. Bar food and Drinks.

  • Banana Bay - One of the island's favourite places with a spectacular beach at low tide featuring a sandbar forming a tidal pool at low tide. Drinks and a more comprehensive lunch menu. Popular with local boaters who anchor on the shallow sand bar and walk to the restaurant. Great place for children to safely play in the water in the tidal pool formed at low tide. It can be reached from the Villa either by walking on the beach (30-40'), driving (5') or by boat.

  • The Stoned Crab - Very Nice beach restaurant with a great deco, island vibes and spectacular views over the sea. Occasionally organizes Full Moon parties. Unlike other beach restaurants they offer Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

  • Garden Cafe - Not on the beach, but casual lunch restaurant set in the beautiful Tropical Garden Of the Groves. Combine Lunch with a visit of the tropical garden and its waterfall.

"Fish Fry"

Fish Fry is a local institution. It designates an area of the island where tourists and locals alike go to enjoy freshly caught fried fish (or lobster, or conch...) prepared by small local restaurants along a strip leading to the beach and a beach bar/dance floor where they finish the night.

Fish fry only occurs on Wednesdays, weather allowing.

Proper restaurants without (much) sand between your toes

Many restaurants are located in the touristy Port Lucaya - a 10' drive away from the Villa.

  • Sabor - Part of the Pelican Bay Hotel, Sabor is very nicely set in a garden with views over the marina.  Live Music on certain days.

  • The Flying Fish - Somewhat upscale restaurant with views over the Bell Channel Bay. Deck, dock and live music on certain days.

  • Capuccino - Small & Cozy Italian Restaurant.

  • Little Tokyo - Sushi and Asian Fusion restaurant

Others are somewhat outside but well worth a visit

  • Dolphin Cove - Romantic restaurant on a Canal with great atmosphere. Reservation Required. Dress code for the indoor section. Near Port Lucaya, may be hard to find so make sure to bookmark the location and get directions when doing the reservation.

  • Pier One / East - Combines an amazing Sushi restaurant with a more traditional menu. Further away (25' drive) it is nonetheless a must as the staff throws the leftover fish to the sharks, a few feet below the dining patio, at the top of every hour in the evening. Delicious Sushi & Shark show, it is certain to make for great memories.

  • The Stoned Crab - Very Nice beach restaurant with a great deco, island vibes and spectacular views over the sea. Occasionally organizes Full Moon parties. Unlike other beach restaurants they offer Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Evening Bars

There are many Bars in the touristy Port Lucaya, each with their own vibe.

  • Bones - Part of the Pelican Bay Hotel is a nice bar for boaters and bonefishing enthusiasts, with a pool bar (you can swim to your drink) and a visitor dock (get there by boat)

  • Blu - A lively party bar near the Port Lucaya square.

  • Rum Runners - Popular busy Bar directly on the square

  • Although primarily restaurants, Sabor, The Stoned Crab and Dolphin Cove also offer very nice Bars (see restaurants).
